Bromham Nature Reserve - Willow Coppicing
Where? Bromham
When? Sunday 12th January 2003
What's it about? Coppicing willow to encourage regrowth/habitat
Where's it happening? Bromham Nature Reserve, Lower Farm Road, Bromham What will volunteers do? Coppice willow using hand tools. Safety talk and training provided.
What to wear/bring: Old clothes, strong boots/shoes/wellies.
What will be provided: Tea, coffee, biscuits. All tools, first aid etc.

Habitat Management at Blows Downs

Habitat Management at Sewell Cutting

What's it about? We shall be clearing scrub growth from the banks of an old railway cutting. These banks support a varied chalk grassland habitat.

Sustaining Wild Flower Sites
Where? Sandy
When? 15th March 20003
What's it about? To manage a site at Sandcast Wood for the restoration of wild plants and wildlife habitats.
Where's it happening? The Sandcast Wood, Sandy What will volunteers do? Remove litter and debris. Rake area to prevent grass dominating the wildflower sites. All debris will be sorted and recycled where possible or used for habitat creation.
What to wear/bring: Old working clothes, waterproofs, wellington boots or stout footwear, PVC or leather gloves.
What will be provided: Experienced leadership and supervision. Disposable gloves, rubbish bags. Cups of tea, encouragement and thanks.

Any restrictions? Young and old, able and disabled can take part.
