When? Friday 11th April 2003
What's it about? To encourage birds into the school nature garden in order for the children to learn more about birds and their behaviour.
Where's it happening? Trewidland CP School, Trewidland, Liskeard What will volunteers do? Revisit last years wildlife garden project to plant trees and erect bird and bat boxes. Help to clear bird hide and rebuild bird table.
What to wear/bring: Appropriate clothing for the weather and suitable footwear.
What will be provided: Refreshments - lunch & drinks. Tools and gloves. Transport/travel expenses. First aid cover.
Is there wheelchair access to the site? No
Any restrictions? Under 17s must inform volunteer bureau that they would like to help.

Nuts About Hazel
Where? Falmouth
When? 29th January 2003
What's it about? To get people involved in planting and learning about hazel coppice and its uses.
Where's it happening? Falmouth Green Centre, Union Rd, Falmouth What will volunteers do? Plant hazel trees and learn about the importance of hazel and hazel products.
What to wear/bring: Warm waterproof clothing and stout footwear - steel toe-capped boots if possible. Please bring a packed lunch.
What will be provided: Tools, protective waterproof clothing and boots. Some refreshments.

Any restrictions? Any children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Beach Clean

What's it about? Clean and survey a beach
Where's it happening? Swanpool Beach, Falmouth What will volunteers do? Remove rubbish from the beach, and survey what is found.
What to wear/bring: Appropriate clothing for the weather, sturdy footwear.
What will be provided: Refreshments, gloves, bags, litter pickers, first aid kit.

Wildlife Garden Project
Where? Liskeard (nr.)
When? Tuesday 18th & Friday 28th March 2003
What's it about? Regenerate and replant an unsafe and unused garden at a local school to create a wildlife garden.
Where's it happening? Duloe CofE Primary School, The Green, Duloe, Liskeard (nr.) What will volunteers do? The first day will be clearing of the brambles and weeds, the laying of a path and preparing of the area for re-planting. The second day will involve the planting of wildflowers and native trees and shrubs.
What to wear/bring: Appropriate clothing for the weather and suitable footwear.
What will be provided: Refreshments - lunch & drinks. Tools and gloves. Transport/travel expenses. First aid cover.

What's it about? Clean and survey Talland Beach.
Where's it happening? Talland Beach, Lode (nr.) What will volunteers do? Help to remove rubbish from the beach and survey the rubbish following the marine conservation society's guidelines.
What to wear/bring: Appropriate clothing for the weather and suitable footwear.
What will be provided: Refreshments - lunch & drinks. Gloves, bags and litter pickers. First aid cover. Insurance via Marine Conservation Society. Travel expenses/can arrange transport.
