Blooming Boat for Butterflies and Bees
Where? Broadford
When? 1st April 2003
What's it about? We have an old rowing boat in our school grounds which will be filled with soil for planting wild flowers to attract butterflies and bees.
Where's it happening? Elgol Primary School, Elgol, Broadford What will volunteers do? Prepare the soil, paint the boat and plant the seeds.
What to wear/bring: Old clothes for painting, paintbrushes.
What will be provided: Protective gloves, paint, refreshments.
Is there wheelchair access to the site? Yes
Any restrictions? Adults may help groups of children (with a SCRO checked adult supervising). No pets.

What's it about? To help establish a native tree nursery at the local primary school.
Where's it happening? Staffin What will volunteers do? Help children by advising on tree planting and long-term care. Children will then be expected to look after trees with a view to planting out in the community.
What to wear/bring: A lot of enthusiasm! Warm clothes.
What will be provided: All materials required.
Is there wheelchair access to the site? Yes
