MCS Adopt-a-Beach at Pagham Harbour
Where? Pagham (nr.)
When? Sunday 23rd February 2003
What's it about? The Pagham & West Sussex WCA has adopted the beach at Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve. For over a decade we have been organising beach cleans and have gained a certificate of thanks from the district council. However, we need to provide more assistance for the volunteers who turn up to help. Specifically, we need to purchase litter picks to enable litter to be picked up without either bending down or using hands. It is particularly important for youngsters not to handle litter for safety reasons.

What to wear/bring: Volunteers need to bring warm, waterproof clothing, stout shoes, gloves and a mug.
What will be provided: Gloves for those who have none, black plastic bags, recording forms, clip-boards and pencils, a first aid kit, safety guidance, refreshments, and also public liability insurance.
