What's it about? Mobilise volunteers in our village to pick up litter on highways, bridleways, footpaths etc.
Where's it happening? Blackshare Head Parish, Hebden Bridge What will volunteers do? Pick up litter in and around Blackshare Head.
What to wear/bring: Protective clothing.
What will be provided: Gloves, bin bags and refreshments, plus a skip for the litter.

Stockbridge Nature Reserve Maintenance

What's it about? We will be pulling bulrush, strimming and planting grasses, cutting willow and creating mud.

Spring Flowers for Horbury Bridge - the Home of 'Onward Christian Soldiers'

What's it about? There is a small piece of grassland outside the school that houses a sign 'Horbury Bridge - the home of Onward Christian Soldiers'. We though it would be nice if each one of our pupils could plant a spring bulb around the sign to give the access to the school a brighter, colourful approach, plus the children could see every year the flowers they had planted.

Help the Hedge

What's it about? Obtain some additional tools to facilitate engaging fellow allotments holders to trim our boundary hedge - the inside and all the bits the tractor can't reach. Keep it more 'person'-proof. Also tidy up accumulated litter in hedge bottom. Foster plotholder community spirit.
Where's it happening? Woodhouse Moor (A) Allotments, junction Hyde Park Road/Moorland Road, Leeds What will volunteers do? Use shears, loppers etc. to cut parts of the hedge that cannot be reached by tractor. Collect windblown and thrown litter from hedge bottom.
What to wear/bring: Old warm and waterproof clothing; own food and hot drink; own shears if available.
