What's it about? Complete repairs of cycleway/footpath bridge over canal at Calne.
Where's it happening? Chaveywell Bridge, Castle Park, Calne What will volunteers do? Mix cement, lay coping stone, clear rubbish and vegetation.
What to wear/bring: Stout footwear, tough gloves, packed lunch, masonry tools (if possible)
What will be provided: Refreshments (tea, coffee, orange squash); hand tools.

Whitbread Action Earth Tree Planting

What's it about? To plant young mature trees on school frontage to compensate for increase in car park area.
Where's it happening? The George Ward School, Melksham What will volunteers do? Prepare the site, plant a malus tree.

Grounds Improvement Day

What's it about? We are organising a clean-up and planting morning. Some of the areas around the school need pruning and clearing. We also hope to plant Bluebells & shrubs in these improved areas.
Where's it happening? North Bradley C of E Primary School, Church Lane, North Bradley What will volunteers do? Pruning & tidy up, weeding, planting
What to wear/bring: Lunch if required, boots, waterproofs if wet, gloves, own tools ie secateurs, trowel, bulb planter, spade, fork, saw
What will be provided: Rubbish bags, some tools and encouragement!

Enviro-clean-up
Where? Trowbridge
When? 10th January 2003
What's it about? Working with students of farm to clear paths, ditches and river banks. As students have in some cases learning difficulties and behavioural problems, teaches them to work on their own and gain confidence.
Where's it happening? Various areas, Trowbridge What will volunteers do? Clear derelict land by canal/river and ditches - main area being River Biss in Trowbridge. Walking distance from farm.
What to wear/bring: Wellington boots, protective clothing.
What will be provided: Limited amount of tools, bags and wheelbarrows.

Any restrictions? No.
How many NEW volunteers required? As many as want to come.

What's it about? To buy sundries required to enable us to plant trees/shrubs (already purchased in pots via Tree Council award) and general tidy/litter pick on recreation ground.
Where's it happening? Recreation Ground between Church Lane and Southwick Road, North Bradley, Trowbridge What will volunteers do? Help with planting trees/shrubs; pruning and trimming existing hedge/trees; litter picking.
What to wear/bring: Suitable clothing/footwear and gloves. Tools if possible (spade, pruners, sledge hammer, rake). Sandwiches.
What will be provided: All planting sundries. Tea, coffee, biscuits.
Is there wheelchair access to the site? Yes
Any restrictions? No dogs allowed on field. No unsupervised young children.
